Your Business Can Be Successful!

June 8th, 2008 Filed under: Uncategorized — Accounting Author

Starting a business ,is probably not the best investment to make these days, with the way the economy is,but if you have the desire and the determination, right attitude, and it helps to be obsessed with money, which can cause problems in relationships, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices in order to succeed. And lets not forget persistence, persistence, persistence!

First of all you have to have a plan.Do you know what it is, you would like to do?I think the question is:What do I enjoy doing and can I make a living doing it?Maybe you want to do something in construction like constructing patios, starting from ground zero.Doing the concrete and the patio cover. In California, starting a car detailing business could work and not that much investment is needed.

Would you like to provide some kind of a service,or open a retail store,or how about a restaurant. We really need to research what the consumer is doing, where they are going, and what they are spending their money on.Sadly their extra cash has diminished, due to the economy.Everything and I mean everything has inflated to extreme, and it’s going to get worst.Unfortunately the business owner can’t pass all of his cost on to the consumer, even though it looks like he has. What this means to the business owner is less profits, unless he can create a way to generate more business. What I see is every business,it seems, has some kind of a bargain. For example:$.99 tacos, buy one get one free, sale, sale, sale.Whatever it takes to get the business is what they are doing. They need volume,so sell it cheap and the more they buy the cheaper it is to them. This practice has been going on as a standard but theirs just more of it.

With people losing their homes, and many just getting by,the situation is tough and people are buying the necessities to just run there households.Products they need and can‘t do without. For example, when it comes to a service such as plumbing, and you have a problem, you have or should have it fixed, and who do you call,a plumber.Businesses like this are a must ,you can’t do without.

In southern California the population of Latinos has exploded, and Mexican markets and Mexican restaurants are opening everyday and doing well. What I am getting at is that you have to find out what people are spending their money on and target your potential customer through advertising so that you can either make a sale or provide the service they need.

We know that it will take money to go into business, and depending on the business, will depend on the investment. You could always go to the bank and borrow the money,or find a investor,or possibly a partner. In either case you need money.

Once you are in business and you have to hire employees, this is were the trouble starts. This is the hardest part of being in business, is personnel.Again depending on the type of business, its always a problem. If and when you find good employees, try to hold on to them because they are few and hard to find.
